House Edit - Where our friends and fellow creatives share with us their craft, inspiration and their most loved or coveted pieces from Swedish House. We hope this will interest and give insight into the essence and distinctiveness of the products we have curated and stock.
In tune with the seasons and inspired by the simplicity of Asian art, the delicate ink paintings of our friend, the self-taught artist, Lucy Augé, capture fleeting moments of nature’s evolution.
Known for producing large bodies of life work, Lucy’s collections are exhibited internationally, and she is attracting a loyal following. Rightly so say we!
Here’s Lucy’s Autumn Edit:
NATURAL JUTE STORAGE BASKET
My studio is a 10 x 20-foot cabin, so is limited for space. I am constantly trying to keep it neat and tidy. I adore these Jute storage baskets, they have that natural quality I am always looking for.
BETTY VASE BY SUE PRYKE
I love to collect ceramics, Sue Pryke, has mastered that simplistic beauty yet functional object.
L:A BRUKET SEA SALT BATH Nr 001
As I am usually sitting down at a desk all the time, I do get a lot of tight muscles. I am hugely into salt baths, LA Bruket being some of my favourite salts to use.
IRIS HANTVERK DUSTPAN AND BRUSH
I feel cleaning the studio has become a daily ritual due to all the debris which is left from the branches I paint.
MUST SEE MOVIE
This film is so beautiful, I was totally mesmerised watching it.
MUST READ BOOK
How to break up with your phone by Catherine Price
I finished this book and then went back to read it agan straight after. I couldn't belive the effects phones are having on our brains/lives.
